Find Hope and Healing with the AlignED Care Model

Are you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from yourself because of an eating disorder?

Contact us for more information about our evening Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP).

Maybe you’re exhausted by your constant thoughts about food, your body, or the ongoing pressure to meet expectations that feel impossible. If you're searching for support, you're not alone—and there is help.

At AlignED Care, we understand that recovery isn’t just about symptoms; it’s about addressing the deeper factors that impact your well-being.

Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is grounded in the AlignED Care Model, which focuses on helping you reconnect with yourself, navigate your environment, build healthier relationships, and find relief from the societal pressures that weigh you down.

Our approach isn’t one-size-fits-all. We look at all the dimensions of your life—your internal struggles, the routines and environments that surround you, the people and communities that influence you, and the larger systems that play a role in your experiences. We also take into account who you are as an individual: your identity, neurodiversity, and unique history.

If you've struggled to recognize or express your emotions, felt misunderstood, or found it hard to connect with your body, we’re here to help.

Through a combination of DBT, experiential work, polyvagal theory, psychodynamic therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), we’ll help you develop skills like mindfulness, emotional regulation, self-awareness, and body trust to support you in reclaiming your life in a sustainable and meaningful way.

Recovery is possible, and you don’t have to do it alone.

Call us today to learn more about our evening eating disorder IOP in Encino and how we can support you on this journey. Let’s take the next step together.

AlignED Care Model: Areas of Alignment

The AlignED Care Model focuses on four dimensions that shape well-being: Internal, External, Community, and Society.

  • Internal: Your relationship with yourself, including self-image, self-worth, and beliefs.

  • External: How your environment and daily routines affect your well-being.

  • Community: The importance of relationships and support systems.

  • Society: The impact of cultural practices, transgenerational legacies and systemic factors on your experiences.

This framework addresses the complex contributors to eating disorders and co-occurring conditions. We support your exploration of internal experiences, environmental influences, relationships, and systemic challenges.

We emphasize the mind-body connection, helping you recognize and respond to physical sensations, emotions, and experiences that may be difficult to express (alexithymia). We also consider neurodiversity, identity, transgenerational, and personal life experiences to provide an inclusive, personalized approach to care.

The AlignED Care Model takes a holistic view of well-being—addressing functional, nutritional, medical, emotional, relational, and spiritual aspects—to foster sustainable recovery and building a life worth living.

Community Guidelines

  • Be your authentic self and be respectful of others. You might not always agree with what other members have to say; that’s okay. We want to promote a “brave” space where messy topics can be discussed and debated, as long as you treat others with the same respect as you’d like them to have for you. That means no harassment, bullying, or name-calling. Mean-spirited talk about anyone’s appearance is not allowed.

  • All bodies are welcome here. Remember that people with eating disorders come in all shapes and sizes. This is a size inclusive space. It is critical that everyone feel safe here no matter what their weight/shape/size may be. Please refrain from using fat shaming or weight stigmatizing language, or language that suggests weight loss as a treatment goal.

  • All people are welcome here. People struggling with eating disorders come from every race, culture, sexual orientation, gender identity, socioeconomic group, physical ability, political orientation and religious/spiritual tradition.

  • Respect different levels of recovery, and be mindful of others' healing processes. It is important to be respectful of the fact that others may be in a different place in their healing process than you are.

  • Leave the numbers out of it. Weight, BMI, clothing size, diet tips or the calories you ate today don’t belong in this group.
