What is DBT-Informed Therapy?

DBT-informed therapy integrates principles and skills from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients manage emotions, navigate relationships, and build resilience. While not comprehensive DBT* this approach focuses on practical, evidence-based techniques tailored to individual needs and goals.

In Individual Therapy
DBT-informed individual sessions provide personalized support to:

  • Explore emotional and behavioral patterns.

  • Apply skills like Emotion Regulation, Distress Tolerance, Interpersonal Effectiveness, and Mindfulness to real-life challenges.

  • Set actionable goals to address anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and more.

  • Navigate deeper concerns like trauma or attachment struggles.

In Group Therapy
The DBT Skills & Process Group offers a structured space to:

  • Learn DBT skills in Emotion Regulation, Distress Tolerance, Interpersonal Effectiveness, and Mindfulness.

  • Practice applying these tools to everyday situations.

  • Engage in guided discussion and peer support to deepen understanding.

Why Choose DBT-Informed Therapy?
DBT-Informed groups and individual therapy blend DBT’s proven techniques with flexible, client-centered care to improve emotional regulation, reduce stress, and strengthen relationships in both individual and group settings.

*Comprehensive DBT is an intensive treatment model designed for individuals with severe emotional dysregulation or chronic self-harming behaviors. It includes four components: individual therapy, group skills training, phone coaching, and a therapist consultation team. This approach follows a structured protocol to address both life-threatening behaviors and skill deficits, providing continuous support and accountability.

What is Accelerated Resolution Therapy?

Accelerated Resolution Therapy® (ART®) is an evidence-based therapeutic approach created in 2008 by Laney Rosenzweig that effectively addresses a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, phobias, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), substance use, addictions, eating disorders, and more. ART® is unique in that it combines the powerful use of eye movements with ART®'s version of well-established therapeutic techniques such as Gestalt Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Imaginal Explosure, and Guided Imagery; unique also because clients do not have to speak about their details. This integration allows clients to make voluntary changes in their minds quickly and effectively. Through the ART® protocol, eye movements and other enhancements help the brain create new, adaptive connections. Many clients experience significant reductions in negative symptoms and increases in positive emotions within 1 to 5 sessions, although individual results may vary. (Past traumas can usually be done in one ART® session. On- going problems may take 1 to 5 sessions).
